Moneyball and Abduction

This weekend at the movies – 9.23.2011

MoneyballMoneyball

An all-star cast brings to life the true story of Billy Beane, a former jock turned general manager who uses unconventional methods to bring the best players to the Oakland A’s, a major league baseball team struggling against financial hardship. – Netflix.com

This was a very good movie about baseball. If you are a fan of baseball then you have probable heard the story of the Oakland A’s crazy year after losing their three best player to other teams. Brad Pitt is great as usual and Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are excellent support in this movie.

Rating: 9 out of 10 stars.

AbductionAbduction

When teenager Nathan comes across his own childhood picture while scrolling through a missing persons website, he begins to question everything he ever took for granted — including the people he always assumed were his parents. -Netflix.com

So Taylor Lautner is athletic, his acting could use some work. This movie had a great story, lots of action, and Sigourney Weaver so how could it not be good. Lily Collins, from The Blind Side, was great and so was most of the supporting actors/actresses in this movie. If you are a Lautner fan, you will enjoy this movie, if not wait and rent on DVD sometime.

Rating: 7 out of 10 stars.
